First, please don’t ask about the bunny…let’s just say…well nevermind.
Today I got an email from Easy Digital Downloads with the title “How to successfully launch your digital product“.
Now I thought this was interesting because it got me thinking about TP-Primo, the companion plugin to TotalPress, and how it was a digital product and that I am in the process of preparing it for launch. Something else caught my eye as I read the post and that was the word “Minimum Viable Product“. Never heard it before but it sounded really cool so I looked it up.
Wikipedia defines Minimum Viable Product as follows:
A minimum viable product (MVP) is a product with just enough features to satisfy early customers, and to provide feedback for future product development.
Wikipedia: Minimum viable product
I thought to myself “Wow this is really freakin’ awesome! That’s exactly what I was thinking I needed to do with TP-Primo”. You have to admit, getting an email that gives an overview of what you have been thinking about is kind of karmic to say the least.
TP-Primo Coming Soon – No, Really
Yes I know. A lot of you have been emailing me and asking when TP-Primo is coming out and I keep saying the same old thing: “Soon”. I am happy to say that soon will happen on April 16th (yes of this year).
One of the main reasons for the delay is that at my real world job, they changed my hours on me. They switched me from 12:00am to 8:30am. This shift change messed up my entire life routine. I wasn’t getting enough sleep, I was getting more and more tired and I had no quality time with the fam. It’s kind of hard to code when your daughter demands all your attention because she doesn’t see you.
That will all be changing on April 9th. That’s the day I go back to my normal schedule. Ah yes, good times they are a comin’.
So on April 16th, that is the day that I am going to be sending out the notification that TP-Primo is available and one that hopefully 50 of you will be extremely happy about. The first 50 who decide to purchase a copy of TP-Primo will be in fact purchasing what I am calling a “Lifetime Access Pass”. This means that as long as I develop and maintain TP-Primo, you will have full access to the support forums and any and all updates that get pushed out. You won’t have to renew your license every year. Yes, it’s going to be much lower than the regular price. Much, much lower.
For those of you who decide to wait it out, you will still get the plugin at a great price. It will only be $39.95. You’ll get the plugin, access to premium support and any and all updates for 12 months. At the end of the 12 months you will have to renew your license to keep access and contimue to get updates but the renewal comes with a 40% discount.
This is going to be a stupendous offering that I am sure everyone will enjoy. So please, if you haven’t already done so, join the mailing list so you can be notified.
In the meantime, I will be adding some posts that talk about all the different features that will be available in TP-Primo. I’d like to give you guys a little more insight into just what exactly TP-Primo is and what it does. I’d like to get some of your ideas for future release. What would like to see a theme do? What have you always wanted in a theme. How would you make a theme?
I’d honestly like to know. So until then, enjoy!
