Let me clarify something first. It has nothing to do with adding a mega menu, the updates in these new versions are adding different navigation options for the end user, hence the reason I am calling this release the Mega Menu Update.
These same two menus are in my other responsive WordPress theme WP-Forge. With TotalPress I wanted something different this time around. TotalPress on it’s own just has the Top Bar menu. Activating TP Primo adds 4 additional menu options: Normal, Sticky, Scroll Hide and Sticky Shrink. Off Canvas is added as well for mobile view.
Let’s take a look at what has been added in this new release. Keep in mind that the majority of this update pertains to TP Primo and not TotalPress. TotalPress has a few updates but they really do not concern the menus.
The Sticky Menu does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It sticks to the top of the screen when it gets to the top of the viewport, even in mobile view. You can also use the logo in the menu if you want. Click to see an example of both.
When using the logo inside the menu itself, the user will be able to set which side they want the hamburger icon to appear on mobile view. If they choose the left side, the logo will appear on the right. If they choose the right side, the logo will appear on the left.
Scroll Hide Menu
The Scroll Hide Menu sticks to the top of the viewport and disappears as the user scrolls down. When the user scrolls back up, the menu reappears. As with the Sticky Menu, you also have the option of using the logo with the menu. Click to see an example of both.
Just like the Sticky Menu, if you select to use the logo inside the menu itself, the user will be able to set which side they want the hamburger icon to appear on mobile view. If they choose the left side, the logo will appear on the right. If they choose the right side, the logo will appear on the left.
Sticky Shrink Menu
The Sticky Shrink menu automatically uses the logo. It sticks to the top of the viewport when the user scrolls down and logo shrinks to the size you set in the customizer. When the user scrolls back up and hits the top of the site the logo returns back to its normal size.
Off Canvas Mobile
The Off Canvas menu can only bee seen in mobile view and only if the user chooses to use the Off Canvas Menu for mobile. The user can set which side they want the hamburger icon to appear as well the effect they want when a user clicks the hamburger icon.

Foundation for Sites 6.5
I also wanted to mention that Foundation for Sites 6.5 is slated for release this month. It was stated that the release was going to be in June but the month is coming to a close pretty fast. Once 6.5 has been released I will be updating TotalPress as well my other responsive WordPress theme WP-Forge.
So there you have it, the addition of four menus for use with TotalPress via TP Primo. I do have plans to offer an actual Mega Menu. Check out this example of a Mega Menu. I am also considering using this Full Screen Off Canvas Menu as well. These wont be added for sometime as I do have to get rolling on the other features of TP Primo.
Until next time, Keep Being Awesome!
